How Shopfisio strengthened management of Brazil's largest aesthetics e-commerce with Power BI
Read the Shopfisio case: development, maintenance, and evolution of strategic Power BI dashboards for leadership and business teams.
Shopfisio was Brazil's largest aesthetics e-commerce operation, competing in a market that demands fast performance reading, goal control, and clarity around commercial behavior. In an operation of that size, leadership and business teams could not depend on scattered reports or manual analyses to make decisions. The challenge was to turn sales, performance, and operational data into a reliable management routine.
My work focused on the development, maintenance, and evolution of strategic Power BI dashboards. The goal was to create dashboards that supported data-driven decision-making, connecting executive indicators with the daily reality of the business areas. Leadership needed a high-level view of the company, while teams needed to quickly identify deviations, opportunities, and risks.
Dashboards for executive decision-making
The dashboard structure was designed to provide visibility into performance indicators, goal progress, and the behavior of the main e-commerce fronts. Instead of only displaying numbers, the reports needed to organize the reading: what happened, where it happened, what the impact was, and which decision should be prioritized.
This Power BI layer helped reduce dependence on ad hoc analyses and brought more consistency to management meetings. Leadership started following results with a more integrated view, using the same indicators as a common foundation to discuss performance, budget, operations, and action plans.
Deviation analysis and goal tracking
Beyond building the reports, I worked on performance indicator analysis and deviation identification. The work involved tracking goals, comparing expected results with actual results, and highlighting points that required investigation. In e-commerce, small changes in conversion, average order value, margin, channel, or category can quickly change the business reading.
For that reason, the dashboards were not static panels. They worked as continuous monitoring tools. When a metric moved away from the expected pattern, the analysis helped identify whether the issue was related to demand, product mix, channel, operations, seasonality, or commercial execution.
Management reports and action plans
I was also responsible for building management reports to support different business areas. These materials organized data in a language useful for decision-making, connecting each indicator to the next step. The focus was to prevent the company from merely observing numbers and help it turn analysis into action.
The dashboard evolution followed the maturity of the operation. New needs emerged, metrics were refined, and views were adjusted as leadership and business areas deepened their data-driven management routines. The result was a stronger foundation to discuss performance, track goals, and guide action plans inside one of the most relevant operations in Brazil's aesthetics market.
