How AOFIO built a WooCommerce e-commerce operation with more control

AOFIO was born to revolutionize hair health evaluation from an internal view of the hair strand, combining scientific research, innovative technology, and products focused on well-being and self-esteem. After years of studies dedicated to hair strands, the company needed an e-commerce experience that translated this proposition clearly: science, technology, and effective solutions for health professionals, clinics, and final consumers.

The project started with the e-commerce design in Figma. Before development, I designed the navigation structure, visual hierarchy, product pages, homepage, categories, and conversion flows. The goal was to make it clear where users could find products, how they could compare options, and how they could move to purchase without friction. In e-commerce, small layout, information, or checkout issues become cart abandonment.

WooCommerce as the commercial foundation

The implementation was built in WooCommerce, using WordPress' content management strength and the ecosystem's flexibility for catalog, orders, coupons, payment methods, and integrations. This choice gave AOFIO autonomy to operate the store day to day, register products, adjust descriptions, update campaigns, and manage orders without depending on development for every simple change.

The e-commerce architecture was designed to balance operational freedom and experience quality. I structured product pages with the essential information for decision-making, clearer categories for navigation, and a purchase journey oriented toward conversion. The focus was not only putting products online, but turning the store into an organized, scalable, and maintainable sales channel.

Experience, content and conversion

The work also involved aligning interface, communication, and operations. A good online store needs to explain the product, reduce doubts, build trust, and make the next action easy. For AOFIO, that meant communicating innovation in hair health without losing commercial simplicity. Layout, copy, catalog, buttons, menus, and checkout flow had to work together.

With WooCommerce as the foundation, AOFIO gained a proprietary, manageable e-commerce operation prepared for evolution. The store concentrated sales, content, and operations in a single structure, allowing the team to test campaigns, adjust offers, and improve the journey without rebuilding the platform at every new commercial cycle.
